Valentine Shmalentine

Happy Valentine's Day? I don't think so.

I have been so excited for Emma's first Valentine's Day at school. I signed up at the beginning of the year to co op that day. We got her valentines, they were princess with glitter tattoos. She's had a croupy cough all week, but I thought she'd be better for the big day! Um...no. She woke up at 4 am with a temp of 102.5. *sigh*

I've also spent the last two nights, up half the night, with sick Jack. He's had a horrible cough too, and keeps spiking a fever. Last night, it was 103.8. Isn't that lovely? I woke up DH, who was sleeping in Emma's bed, cuz sick kids were in our bed, and was ready to take Jack to the ER. But he really wasn't in any distress, it was mostly me. So we went back to bed. Oh, I should point out, we had a WICKED snow storm last night, so there was NO way I was going to drive up to the hospital, I was gonna call an ambulance. *rolling eyes*

So with all the sickness, Valentine's Day, has been a moo point. (be sure to click on the link for a laugh) I was not feeling well yesterday, so getting ready was just as miserable. My sweet Mom, went to school for Emma, and gave her Valentines, and brought Emma's home. So she still got her valentines, just not the fun way. :( Then Parker came home, high as a kite. Ugh...

So...Happy Valentines Day, I hope yours is/was better than mine! I know I know, turn it around...but I'm too tired. I hope my gift will be sleeping all night.
