Where to begin...

Well, it's been an interesting week. I took the job with the bunny for a couple of reasons. I figured it would be fun, I love kids, and taking pictures. I needed to get out of my house, and be "ME "! I need the money, for our vacation fund! And this job, only lasts 3 weeks. I haven't worked in over two years. I haven't worked retail- as in anything to do with money, in about 7. So I figured this would be a great way to see how the family does, if I have a little "get out of the house, spending money" job.

Well, it's not really going according to plan. The people who were hired to run the booth, aren't working out, to put it nicely, and I've had to take on WAY more than I was planning on. But it's been so fun! Most of you know, I'm a control freak, so taking over has been easy! ;)

Emma has been able to come with me on a couple of "bunny emergencies" we call them. The first day she had to come, we had to go get the bunny, and bring him to the set. I started out, and realized she was about to see the Eas ter Bun ny, with no head on. The first time I experienced that, I was 21 and it was my first day at Disney land. I was walking to get my costume(uniform) and there was Mickey walking on the sidewalk, with his head under his arm. Oh...and it was a GIRL!!! It was so disturbing. Then I saw Cind erella talking on a pay phone,(this was in the stone ages, before cell phones) and then I saw Snow W hite in the cafeteria, and when she went to sit down, she HIKED up her dress!! It was eye opening to say the least. So I was about 2 minutes, from exposing Emma to the ugly truth. So I had to think fast! I said to her, "You know how Santa has people that dress up like him, and go to stuff so kids can meet him?" I said, "The Easter Bunny has helpers too, and my friend is wearing a costume!" She was fine! She thought she was SO COOL, to know the Bunny's secret.

So it's been an interesting week, and it's going to get more interesting. Luckily, it only lasts till Easter!

Your story reminded me of something a friend of ours experienced while working at Disney World a little while ago- he called Spencer and reported that he was very disturbed to hear Cinderella get in a fight with someone on the staff, while in costume, and drop the "F" bomb several times. And Snow White asked him on a date, too. He was working as a maintenance guy, but got more experience then he bargained for!
